Shedean Jones

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Shedean (pronounced she-dean) and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist in the province of Alberta. With over five years of experience in community addiction and mental health services, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with individuals facing various challenges. I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of therapy and am deeply committed to providing compassionate and effective support to those in need.

I graduated from the City University of Seattle with a Master of Counselling degree, where I honed my skills and deepened my understanding of therapeutic techniques. My commitment to ongoing learning and professional development ensures that I stay current with the latest research and best practices in the field.

I am deeply passionate about working with individuals and couples experiencing grief, trauma, anxiety, addiction, infertility or reproductive concerns, and relational conflict. Journeying through some of these concerns can often feel isolating and overwhelming, and I am committed to providing compassionate support and guidance. Having a supportive network is crucial during challenging times, and I am here to walk alongside you with empathy, understanding, and practical strategies to help you navigate your fertility journey.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy approach used to treat trauma and other distressing experiences. Additionally, I work with couples utilizing Gottman Method Couples Therapy principles, helping partners build stronger relationships and navigate challenges effectively. As an advanced practitioner of the Grief Recovery Method, I specialize in supporting individuals through the grieving process, providing a safe and nurturing space for healing and growth. I have also completed additional training in Reproductive Mental Health.

If you are considering making a positive change, take a look at the therapy services I offer on our services page. Reach out for a free consultation. I’m here to support you as you work towards being in a healthier space.
