How I do know if I would benefit from therapy?

You may benefit from therapy if you’re feeling overwhelmed by stress, experiencing persistent sadness or anxiety, facing relationship challenges, struggling with life transitions, or noticing a decline in your overall well-being. Therapy offers a safe space to explore your emotions, gain insight, and develop coping skills. If you’re unsure, consider scheduling a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your concerns.

When is the best time to start Grief Recovery?

You can begin the process right away. As time passes, we tend to exaggerate our memories of our losses, which can make it harder to understand our true feelings about them. Don’t wait to deal with your grief. Think of it like having a flat tire – would you wait a long time to call for help? Waiting will not fix the tire, just like waiting to address your grief won’t help you move forward from your pain.

What losses can I work on?

Grief encompasses a broad spectrum of emotions and can stem from a diverse array of 43 different losses. These losses encompass both tangible and intangible aspects, such as trust and faith, extending beyond the confines of loss related solely to the passing of a person or animal. The comprehensive list encompasses various experiences, including divorce or the termination of a relationship, health-related challenges, significant financial shifts, relocation, and numerous other life events.

What is the difference between your GRM programs and therapy sessions?

The main distinction between our Grief Recovery Method (GRM) programs and therapy sessions lies in their focus and structure. Our GRM programs are specifically designed to guide participants through a structured process aimed at addressing unresolved grief and facilitating emotional healing.

On the other hand, therapy sessions encompass a broader range of therapeutic modalities and may address various mental health concerns beyond grief, tailored to the individual’s unique needs and goals.

While GRM programs offer a systematic approach to grief recovery, therapy sessions provide a more comprehensive and personalized therapeutic experience.

I do not live in Canada, can I still do a GRM program?

Certainly! As an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, I possess the necessary training and insurance to offer services to clients on an international scale. These sessions will be conducted in a virtual format. Please note that individual therapy sessions are exclusively available to residents of Alberta.

How do I register for a GRM program or book a therapy session?

Kindly provide your personal information in the “Contact Me” section. Following your submission, I will reach out to schedule a 15-minute consultation to better understand your needs and discuss the next steps. Please anticipate contact within 24 hours.

What is the cost of therapy sessions?

As per the Psychologists Association of Alberta, the fee for each therapy session is $220, for a duration of 50 minutes. We accept payment via debit card, credit card, e-transfer, or cash.

Do you accept insurance?

We offer direct billing services exclusively to Blue Cross. For all other insurance providers, we kindly request upfront payment and a detailed receipt will be provided for submission to your insurance company for reimbursement.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

In our commitment to accommodating and supporting our clients’ needs, please note that cancellations within a 24-hour period will incur a fee equivalent to 50% of the session rate. For cancellations made on the day of the session, full payment will be required.
